Susan Bickmore's Fundraiser

My dear friend and coworker Susan passed away today.  She fought a long and hard battle against breast cancer, but her death was very sudden and unexpected to most of us who knew her.  Susan never asked for help.  If you ever asked her how she was feeling because you could visibly tell that she was having a hard day, she would respond “I’m not great but there are people who always have it worse.”  I honestly think this is why no matter how hard things were going for her, she couldn’t get herself to feel deserving of help.  She genuinely cared for her friends and always knew what was going on in your life.  She leaves behind 11 year old John who was her pride and joy.   I don’t think you can put a price on how much financial and emotional help an 11 year old boy will need.  His mother was his everything.  She never asked anyone for help and I’m sure she’s looking down at me shaking her head that I would set up a Go Fund me page in her honor.  But I can tell you that Susan worked her whole life as nurse because she was completely selfless, and to provide for her son John who is now in care of his father John.  She was always a giver as a person, nurse and a mother.  Please contribute as little or as much as you are able to.

I'm overwhelmed with the amount of support that has been shown so far!  I will keep you updated. In the meantime lets keep sharing this page so that we can raise more funds. They are needed. I'd rather not share personal information but trust me when I say that little John is in very much need of support. Thank you so much!
