Surviving Peritonitis

Couple of weeks ago Alex, a 38yo man, swim instructor, with a very active life, was run to the nearest Hospital with huge cramps and contraction all over his abdominal area. After almost 11hours of test and research made by Doctors he was diagnosed with a stomach bleeding ulcer (Sector VII) wich lead in an extended peritonitis caused by all the bile outcoming the stomach filling up the whole abdominal cavity. Thank God after 2 and 1/2 hours of surgery he was still alive and all stiched, but the recovery ahead coming it won't be quick and easy. Doctor say that because of the extended area covered by the stomach's bile and the many hours of time it had to make damages it wil need time for all the organs to go back healthy as before, and being this a near death experience will also have an impact on his psicology, as his brain got all scrumble as well from the gas of the bile raising from his abdominal cavity.

Unfortunately all this will have a big impact in Alex life and his being independent. Doctors say that because of the time needed by the 22cm scar on his abs to recover, he wont be able to go back to work for at least 7 to 9 months, but what is more important and adding precariousness to this situation is the internal organ health situation.

That is why we decided to create this page on GoFundMe, trying to raise a help for Alex to pay his medical expenses, medical supply and sustenance until he s ready to get back on his feet.
