This is a campaign for the production of the video series, "SURVIVE THEN THRIVE". A VIDEO ON HIJAB SAFETY is the first installment, in which the rising levels of hate crimes towards Muslims in the US are the subject. Videos in the future will focus on issues facing LGBTQ, Jewish, and Black communities and the intersectionality of their struggles.
The money raised will go towards writing and producing more videos for different minority groups and their respective struggles. This will also go towards actor costs and a crew when the time comes.
This is not overboard. This is not dramatic. This is a reality for a lot of people. This is a call to action and a necessary step. Art and activistism can and will make a difference in a time like this.
