Surgery,Medical Expenses&Equipment

I share this with all of you in request for continued prayers, possible advice, and help. I have a condition called Common Variable Immune Deficiency. Recently, an infection spread to my spine and right leg. I met with the best Neurological & Spinal Surgeon on the Central Coast, yesterday. Part of my spinal cord has deteriorated due to my immune deficiency. My L4 & L5 have moved onto my nerves causing me great pain 24/7 in my lower back, right leg, and foot. My right leg continues to go numb when I put weight on it; causing me to fall. Due to my Immunodeficiency, this local surgeon feels that it's best for me to have my surgery at UCLA, where their Team of Immunologists can assist the spinal surgeon. The surgeon down there only accepts the Medicare part of my health insurance. Therefore, before I can have my operation, I need to raise money ASAP. I will also need to remain in the hospital and near UCLA for a minimum of 8 weeks (as long as no post-op infection occurs.) This, too, will be an uncovered expense and hardship.

I welcome any advice and help with affordable places for my 8 year-old daughter to stay near UCLA for two months, and suggestions for fundraisers. I am also searching for affordable medical equipment ASAP:
- A newer *wheelchair (lightweight and foldable;) one that I can maneuver by myself (using grips on the exterior of the wheels) and/or with little help from my daughter.
- A hospital bed or a queen size mattress suitable for use on my current electric base (head and foot parts are movable like on a hospital bed.)
