Surgery for Aiya

I am starting this campaign on behalf of my son James. He has a magical dog named Aiya, she has the most beautiful disposition and character, together, they are a team.
James had surgery on his shoulder a little while ago and awaiting his doctor to approve his return to work. As his job is very physical, he is unable to return until he has full use of his arm again.
James called me today to let me know that Aiya needs surgery quickly for a condition called Pyometra, without it, she will not survive.
I don't have the funds to forward to him to cover the surgery, this campaign is the only way I could think of to try and save Aiya. My son is destroyed, Aiya is the light of his life, his companion and sidekick. When I spoke to him I could feel his distress. My heart shattered for him as he told me he is not ready to watch her die. He feels helpless as he can't yet earn the funds to pay for her surgery. I don't know how to explain how much she means to James, but as his Mom, I will do anything and everything to try and help Aiya get the care she needs.
If anyone is able to help try to get Aiya her surgery, I will be forever grateful, as will James and Aiya.
