About 9 months ago Hayden started complaining more and more of pain in her right hip! She was tiring easier and her stamina was disappearing!! Exams were done and X-rays were gotten and the results were a sublexed hip. It wasn't good news for Hayden! We had always hoped that the hip would remain stable! But a miracle was headed our way! Haydens records were forwarded to a brand new surgeon at Children's Hospital in Seattle!!! She has spent her life doing but correcting limb deformities and was very familiar with Haydens condition! This was something I had prayed for!! We were sent over for a consult and she concurred Hayden would need a femoral osteotomy and perhaps a pelvic osteotomy as well! At that time they would insert an eight plate in her knee to help correct the curvature of the limb as well! It will take Hayden about a year total to heal, recover and complete physical therapy! After that we will go on to stabilize the knee by giving her an ACL and a PCL! Again that should take a year so the same recovery, healing and PT! When that is all complete we can move onto limb lengthening! We have many many years of traveling to Seattle and long surgical stays! Any donations made will continue to be used in traveling back and forth and all costs associated with the surgeries!!
Thank you for all the help, shares and encouragements we have received so far!!!
UPDATE::: SURGERY IS HAPPENING THIS FRIDAY!!! We of course are super excited and extremely Nervous!! This is the biggest surgery she will undergo.....
A huge thank you to everyone that has helped support Hayden thru this journey! What a blessing you have all been!!
I don't know if you get my eMail replies, so I thought I would leave a message here as well. I just want to reiterate that I am always super glad to help when I can. ♥ I've set it to auto-donate while I have a little extra to spare. It's not much, but it's yours each month while I can afford it. I'm so happy it goes to such a wonderful cause. ♥
Jodi~How is Hayden doing? Don't see any updates in a year
So glad you found medical professionals that you trust and take care of your daughter!
God bless her, Jodi. I am glad to hear that.
So if you have ever donated to an organization like World Vision or the Salvation Army or even if you haven't, consider this--- helping someone in our own country. This little girls daddy works with me and he can't afford to have these surgeries without help. I am willing to help. Will you be?
