UPDATE FROM VIRGIL

I would like to thank everyone with all my heart who has been supportive on this journey. I have finally    been able to receive all the known information and prognosis, as well as the direction of a treatment plan for now.

My prostate biopsy revealed cancer throughout my prostate (gleeson 9, grade group 5), very aggressive indeed which after further scans and tests show it has spread through my lymph nodes with extensive uptake as far as my renal vessels. (Behind top of stomach and spine)

Not great at all apparently.

What I’m doing!

I am having to send blood samples away to nutripath in Greece to find out basically what my cells like  and what they don’t. This is vital in my view to focus my energy on actually what works for my dna structure.

I am taking natural ‘pain ‘medicine, which I have a legal prescription for but alas is also costly.

After Easter I will be undergoing further treatments through NIIM’s and having a variety of alternative and complimentary treatments.

This will be for 3 weeks and the first of many ahead.

Being armed with information now will allow me to now cleanse and rebuild my immune response for the many paths ahead.

The pathological analysis is around $4000 with the first 3 week treatments at $8000.

Dying is expensive. Lol

As much as I’m trying to sell my assets including my house these guys don’t do accounts so I’m still trying to raise moneys. If you’ve ever had your eye on some cool shit I own, nows the time. Lol

Last and not least. People managing can be a full time job. Understanding that everyone comes from a      place of love is very special and gives me great strength.

There will be a spreadsheet posted for everyone one to be able to place there experience of treatments and associated references, that I can have a easy place to navigate but also research all the helpful information that has come through. I ask you only to avoid posting things that don’t have a link or direct contacts as although loving a good yarn, at this stage a phone number to tangible treatments is where it’s at.

I will be also posting future Virg desires and scallywag missions, progress reports as they come to hand and random info.

Also a Par-T of colossal proportions is on the horizon.

Much love ❤️

MEDICAL FUNDRAISER FOR VIRGIL JANKO

It is with great sadness I am even having to create such a page for a dear and beloved brother.  But on the other hand it brings me such respect and admiration that there is such an amazing community that surrounds Virgil.  Knowing we are all there to love, support and help how we can.

Unfortunately, our mischievous, stubborn and lovable French, Croat, Aussie larrikin Virgil, needs his community's help and support.  Very recently Virgil was diagnosed with a 5cm malignant tumor in his prostate (cancer). To add to this it was also confirmed that it has spread to his Lymph Glands in his groin.

THE BACK STORY

Not many would know, but Virgil has had some ongoing health issues over the past year.  Not one to make a fuss about it or to let people know, very few people have known. I am privileged to have been one a few to have been confided in through some of his challenges.  No one that may have had some insight including Virgil himself could have foreseen the very recent news he has received. Recent meaning within the past week.

After over 9 months of seeing his local GP over some personal health issues.  He was initially told what he had was an infection. After some time Virgil realised things were not getting better and pushed to see a specialist.  Early last week he finally saw a specialist that immediately rushed him through for some major tests. On 26/03/19, Virgil underwent an MRI scan. Following the MRI his/our worst concerns were realised.

The MRI confirmed Virgil has a 5cm malignant tumor in his prostate (cancer).  To add to this it was also confirmed that it has spread to his Lymph Glands in his groin.

WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?

It means it's on the serious side and ultimately could be terminal.  Usually prostate cancer is quite slow moving and affects men over the age of 70.

This is all very fresh at the moment not all the tests have been done to ascertain the whole situation.

Virgil was rushed through for a biopsy on Thursday 28th March to ascertain the full extent of the situation and what the next course of action is necessary.

Virgil will receive his biopsy results next week on Wednesday 3rd April and will have a PEP test on Friday 5th April (Radiation test to ascertain where else the cancer has spread).  This test will have at least a four (4) day recovery.

Virgil does not have private health insurance, but he has initially opted to pay the expense of private treatment in order to get immediate assessment.  As he had been misdiagnosed and lost considerable amount of time.

This has incurred some exorbitant upfront fees. We have spoken with the Peter McCallum Institute for a referral so he can then be brought into the public health system

WHAT DOES HE NEED?

MEDICAL COSTS

TO DATE

$6000 (Many MRI’s & tests)

CURRENT

$8000 (Biopsy)

FUTURE

$20,000+

Due to the quick and unexpected revelations of what Virgil is facing, this has of course created financial stress not just for medical but also for general living.  Virgil has worked hard during his life and through that gave himself a base with his home in Balnarring.  But like many other people he is still has a mortgage.

With these medical costs, they take away from his ability to finance his general living expenses. As well is ability to work has been compromised and has had to knock back substantil work due to his health and medical appointments.

Depending on the final prognosis he is prepared to sell his home in order to finance his future. But as we know this can take time.  It is not yet clear to what extent he will be able to work in the immediate future. This is not from any lack of wanting too, just the reality of the situation.

LIVING EXPENSES

* Immediate payments of Mortgage, Living Expenses Etc, Etc

Virgil is pretty exhausted with all this sudden news, but in good and positive spirits.  He knows he has amazing community around him and no doubt this news would create worry and concern to many.  I’d ask not to inundate Virgil with too many questions. It will become very tiresome to have to rehash the story over and over again.

Virgil & myself will be sure to keep people and community updated at Virgil’s further prognosis’s.

SO LETS SUPPORT VIRGIL IN ANYWAY WE CAN!!!
