Dear friends and family,
As many of you know Warren and his 11 year old daughter were hit by a car on Boxing Day while on their skidoo. Warren suffered a broken knee, tibia, ankle and 2 broken ribs. He is home now, but has a long road of recovery with the next 8 plus weeks off work.
Mackenzie is in the hospital in Kelowna with a broken hip and fractured pelvic bones. She has lost blood flow to one kidney and has a laceration on the other. She has a longer road to recovery with 3 months or more of bed rest. She is not allowed any weight bearing for 12 weeks. We are still waiting to see what her medical team will do with her kidney issues,
as well as the orthopaedic surgeon may still want to do surgery.
Myself (Warren's sister Kathleen) and Lisa (Paula's friend) are setting up this go fund me account to help with lost wages for Warren as the main bread winner and for Paula who will need to take time off to care for Mackenzie.
Ways to help and support:
-Freezer meals -Lisa is setting up a meal train
-Prayers
-Cards and notes of encouragement
-Taking Matthew to hockey, school etc
-Snow shovelling, housework etc
-Taking dogs for walks
-Financial support
Our goal is in settling this up is to help with lost wages while Warren recovers and enable Paula to take some time off to care for both Mackenzie and Warren.
