Supporting People With Epilepsy
Donation protected
I wish to support those with Epilepsy lead fulfilling lives. This cannot happen without increasing awareness as to what Epilepsy actually is and how the ripple effect of a diagnosis of Epilepsy can have on the individuals family and friends. Through fear and ignorance a stigma is attached to Epilepsy, even in enlightened 21st Century Scotland. There are significant long term socio-economic disadvantages to having such a diagnosis. My step daughter had her first seizure at 4 years of age, it is my goal as a father, and as a Community Worker with Lanarkshire Epilepsy Support Group to redress this balance and help all of those affected by Epilepsy and I'm walking 23 miles to that end. Fear not my friends, for I've always been a madman.
