Scott Leason is a totally blind para athlete that is on a fixed income.  Scott is the current U.S. Visually impaired National Surfing Champion and the current U.S. Silver medalist is Adaptive Waterskiing and Trick Skiing.  This year Scott needs some help with funding for travel to defend his surfing and waterskiing titles.  He also is wanting to be the first blind wakeboarder to compete in a sanction wakeboard tournament. For Scott to accomplish this he will competing in Hawaii, California and Kentucky.

2019 Update #3- Scott repeated at the 2019 WWA Western Regional Wakeboard Championships by be the Adaptive Standing Champion. Which earned him and invitation the 2019 WWA National Wakeboard Championships in Monroe Washington July 24-27. But the next stop is the WWA Central Regional Championships being held in San Angelo, Texas July 12-14. Then it looks like Scott has the opportunity to go the 2019 WWA World Wakeboard Championships in Mayan Water Complex, Playa Del Carmen, Mexico October 17-20. So for him to be able to make these last 3 events he still needs some finanacial help, so if you can any amount will help, if not please share with your friends and ask them to share it as well. This is the first update for 2019:
Scott has been working out and training hard through the winter and spring. Scott decided to only compete in wakeboarding this year. Scott completed his first competition in May which was the WWA South Regional in Orlando Florida, where he was the Adaptive Standing Division Champion. His next competition is the WWA Western Regional in Caldwell Idaho June 14-16. Scott is compilating on going the WWA Central Regional which is in San Angelo Texas July 12-14 if there is enough funding available. The last competition is the WWA National Championships in Monroe Washington July 24-27.
You can see the goal has been updated to show the finanical need to help Scott be able to compete is all of the competitions for the year.
So lets help Scott make his 2019 goal so he can show that all his hard workout and training was worth it. Let see if he can be the champion in the West and Central Regions and the National Champion this year.

This is the final update for 2018. A big thank you to all who supported Scott in all his accomplishments in 2018 as he acknowledged this as the 25th year since he lost his sight to a viscous act of violence. Scott competed in 7 events in 4 different sports and 3 national championships. He made history as being the first Visually Impaired competitor to compete in a sanctioned Wakeboard tournament and National Championship.
None of this would have been possible without out all your financial and encouragement.
