Alaya Ketani’s Injury Crisis Recovery

Donation protected
Hello to Friends and Community,

This GFM is seeking your support for Alaya Ketani who has given her heart to our community. She is a long time local, a hypnotherapist, and the Founder of the non-profit, Keeping Ashland Women Safe (K.A.W.S).

Alaya was seriously injured during an oral surgery procedure back in February. She has been in intense and constant pain with a neuromuscular condition that has set into her jaw, head, neck and entire upper body since the surgery. Among other issues Alaya also has not been able to chew solid food since that time.

Alaya’s condition is rapidly deteriorating. Another situation that arose from her injury is she just recently became aware she is not getting enough oxygen to her brain while she is sleeping.

She is becoming increasingly more weak, and losing the ability to care for herself in a normal manner. This poses a grave danger for someone who is living alone. It is time we circle around Alaya, who has given so much of herself to this community.

For a long time Alaya did not realize why her entire cranium was taking so long to heal. It has taken these many months to determine that several factors contributed to her injury, and also to find a team of doctors and practitioners who will be able to treat her multi-layered condition.

During this time, Alaya has tried to keep up with the high demands of her hypnotherapy practice, and K.A.W.S. However, this has also exacerbated her condition, as this type of career demands that one must fully engage with their clients mentally and emotionally, and also physically with talking. Talking is excruciating for her, and she also isn’t able to get enough nutrition at this point to just have the energy to deal with day-to-day functions.

Alaya is in danger of not being able to support herself, losing her ability to practice her business to support herself, and losing her home.

Now is the time for us all to pitch in to ensure the safety and well-being for Alaya so she can heal. Please consider giving back to someone who has given so selflessly to our community.

From Alaya:
"I've worked so hard for our Ashland community, my Heart aches to be in this excruciating reality.  I just Know that I can come through this with your help and support."
