Support the Penners

I started this campaign on behalf of my dear friends who are needing some assistance.  
Lauren and Ryan live in Williams Lake, BC and have been trying to have a baby for quite a few years.  Finally, in August, they were excited to learn that they had successfully conceived and were expecting a baby to be born in April, 2017.  Unfortunately, at a routine ultrasound in November, Lauren discovered that she was experiencing silent labour and was put on bedrest.  The doctors put a cerclage in and Lauren was put on hospital bedrest in Williams Lake.  Because the William's Lake hospital is unable to support preterm babies, Lauren was flown to BC Women's Hospital in Vancouver so that she and the baby would get the best possible care if/when she went into labour.  Ryan still had to stay home and take care of their 10 year old daughter and work, so he was unable to be there with his wife as bills need to be paid.  
On January 6th, when Lauren went into labour at 25 weeks and 6 days, Ryan made it just in time to welcome little Sawyer into the world.  At just 940 grams, she was whisked off to the NICU and has been on a ventilator, with round the clock care .  
Ryan had to return home after only a few days, but has been commuting back and forth every weekend.  This 7 hour trip is not only exhausting, but it's costing this family a fortune in gas and missed work so that Ryan can be there to support Lauren.  
Since her birth nearly a month ago, Sawyer was doing amazing.  She put on a little weight and was taken off the ventilator.  Over the last couple days, however, she's taken a turn for the worse and has been sedated and intubated as she was having trouble breathing.  
Ryan has come down to Vancouver to support Lauren and Sawyer, and I'm hoping that with this fundraiser, we can raise enough money that they can all be together during this stressful time and not have to worry about how they're going to pay their bills.  Please share and donate to support this very deserving family.
