Silent Auction Totals Approximately $10,500!!
We don't have the exact total yet as some monies are still coming in but to date we have collected $9,975 from the silent auction. I expect the final amount to be around $10,500. Amazing! Thank you again to everyone for all your support.
It's not too late to keep spreading the word in case there are people out there who would still like to donate. We have raised a lot (and even met the goal of $25,000!) but we know Brit and Lee will need all the help we can give them as the non-covered medical bills start coming in. And if by chance we do raise more than they need, Brit plans to donate the balance to a cause related to her injury.
So please like/share/email this post to keep spreading the word.
Thank you everyone! The "gofundme" gang.
I received this amazing email last night from Peter Bakken, the Managing Partner of Hearthstone restaurant here in Breck:
"This is to let you know that we deposited $5,843.00 into the account for Brittany at US Bank today. This was raised from all Britt's friends and co-workers at the Hearthstone and MiCasa, with a matching donation from our restaurant company, Storm Restaurants."
Thank you to everyone who donated and to the owners who matched those donations. What a GREAT community we live in. :)
Brit is at home in Breck, making surprise appearances as she can and getting better.
As I always say, please like/share/email these posts so we can keep spreading the word and keep the donations coming!
Brit's Silent Auction was a HUGE Success!
Thank you to everyone who donated items, everyone who came, everyone who helped and to Breckenridge Brewery for hosting the event. A special thanks to Jan and Jen for taking care of donations at the door. Everyone was amazingly generous with cash donations, buying raffle tickets and bids on the items. We had close to 150 items and not one went without a bid. I have no idea how many people attended but the Brewery was packed for hours. We don't have a total yet but it was far beyond our expectations. A surprise visit by Brit was the highlight of the night! She looked awesome!

Also, Renee Reddick will be hosting a trunk show of her jewelry and handbags that night at the same time/location. All proceeds from her sales will go to Brit and Lee. You can also shop online at the following link: http://www.stelladot.com/ts/v0ri5.
Thank you Renee and those organizing the auction!
I haven't seen Brit since Tuesday but every update and phone call I receive has been nothing but positive. You go Brit!! Keep up the hard work of getting better. Can't wait until we have you back home in Breck!
As always, please like/share/email these posts so those who have not yet donated can do so. We appreciate everyone's support but need to keep the donations coming.
The "gofundme" gang
Hi Everyone. Please like/share/email this post around so we can get the word out. We've raised a lot but need to raise so much more.
We have now setup an account at US Bank in Breckenridge to take donations (and where the funds from this site are being transferred). If you would like to make a cash donation, stop by US Bank (Breck branch only) and let them know it is for Brittany Gilbert. They will know which account to deposit to. If you want to be recognized on this site for that donation, and we would love to recognize you, just email me at firstname.lastname@example.org with your name, the amount and what you would like to say on your post, and I can add that to this site's total, even without the funds going through this site. I can add anonymously if you would prefer.
We've included a picture on this post of Brit's new nurse. I can't see how she won't keep get better now!
Thank you everyone for your continued support. All of us that created this page, Tara, Alicia & Joey and Joe & I cannot thank you enough. Brit's progress continues to be amazing. Receiving a post from her on Facebook was quite a shock yesterday! But a long road lies ahead. Please continue to spread the word by sharing this site with friends and family, liking/sharing these posts on Facebook, etc. The more we can get the word out, the closer we will get to our goal.
What a great day today! See the CaringBridge site for more details. In short, Brittany was assisted to standing and eating ice cream (which she has been asking for quite often I understand). When I visited, I was speechless at her progress and the change from just a couple of days ago. She was awake for hours, engaging in coversation and amazing everyone around. Her personality was the Brit we all know and love. However, let's not forget her, Lee and their families have a long road ahead and need all of our help. Please keep this site passed around so those who have not given yet can give if they can. And everyone go have some chocolate Haagen Dazs - I never thought I'd be so happy watching someone eat ice cream. :)
Wow. Thank you everyone. We all can't thank you enough. Please keep spreading the word so we can keep the donations coming. We saw Brit today and her progress is amazing. If you don't know already, you can receive updates at http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/brittanygilbert.
Hey Everyone. Our DEAR friend Brittany was in a terrible accident last night and is in critical condition at St. Anthony's in Denver. Please keep her, LEE and her family in your thoughts and prayers. As we all have said today.... please give someone a hug and think happy thoughts. Brit would want that.
