Support Waheed's Battle Against Bone Cancer

Update: I am deeply saddened to state that Waheed passed away three days ago because of his illness. Due to your very generous donations, he was able to seek out treatment in Pakistan and seemed to have recovered for a few weeks. Unfortunately, his symptoms returned and the second treatment in Pakistan wasn't effective. He leaves behind a wife and six children. Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un.
Waheed is a subsistence farmer living in Logar, Afghanistan. He is a husband, a father, and the sole provider for his six children. Last year, he was diagnosed with bone cancer. Since then Waheed and his family have fought valiantly against the disease, but in recent weeks Waheed's condition has deteriorated significantly and his income and savings have been entirely depleted. Because of the lack of medical equipment and proper facilities in Afghanistan, Waheed has had to battle with cancer primarily through pain medications and blood transfusions. Waheed's best chance of survival is to seek out chemotherapy treatment in New Delhi, India. Unfortunately, Waheed does not own any land nor does he have any other assets to sell. In order to have a fighting chance against this disease, Waheed needs $5,000.00 for travel expenses, medical bills, and living expenses for his six children. This is an incredibly urgent situation. The sooner we can get Waheed his treatment in New Delhi, the better chance he has. Please consider donating and/or sharing.
