Support to help the weak stand

Donation protected
Hi, I'm Q.  Most of you know me as someone who is quiet, nice, and an easygoing person, but a lot of you don't know about last summer. Last summer I was depressed, I was a person I did not like.  I was aggressive, distant and cold to the people that meant the most to me.  I wrote a series of poems beating my self up.

My grandmother were diagnosed with breast cancer, I lost my great grandmother and I did not do as well as I wanted to do academically. My family was not sure if we were going to be able to afford another semester and I blamed my past for who I had become.

This summer I am waking up excited for the day and modeling for Forever21.  I am having a pool party for my next big shoot. I am someone who helps lift others up. I am someone I enjoy being.

I am going to have this project open for 10 days. I am making this to support funds for the event, but I would not be making this if there was not a greater good. I am making this to share my story. That just a year ago I was at rock bottom and now I am on a good path. I am making this to let those know who are down and broken that things are going to get better. When you are at the bottom the only place to go is up.

I was someone who did not like to talk about how I was feeling or what I was going through, I would rather just pretend that everything was alright. I would hold everything inside. I debated several times about making this because  I was afraid of what people would think about me. That people would think I am weak, that people would treat me differently. Well I know now that it is a lot easier to think about all of the things that could go wrong than the things that could go right. I am willing to take the chance because if this can help lift up one person it was worth all of it. Something I always tell myself is; if you can help someone why would you not do it?

The three organizations I have chosen for this project are as follows:

Anxiety and Depression Association of America
For those who are feeling hopeless, know that things are going to get better.

American Cancer Society
For those who are going through this process. I have a friend who has been kicking cancers butt for almost three years now! Her bracelet has been with me since I met her.

Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network
For those who have confided in me with their stories of abuse and those who are fearful of what it would bring them.

Some of you may still be thinking about the use of these funds. All of the funds will be used to help meet my goal to support my Forever21 project. Everything over the goal will be donated between the three organizations. I also plan to match my goal of the project and donate it between the three organizations because if you can help someone why would you not do it?

I would like to thank those who stayed around during the time when I was at a low point, and continued to tell me things were going to get better. I am happy to say they did.

Even if you cannot donate, sharing this is another chance to reach out to pull someone else out of a dark place. Thank you.

Below I have included a link to the poems I have written. With every 15 shares I will add another poem to the list.
