Tia Eckler

In September of 2018 Tia Eckler (Longway) was diagnosed with stage 3 Lobular Breast Cancer. 

She found a lump on her left breast and had to have a biopsy. The results came back that the lump was cancerous and had to be removed. The tumor was 5.1cm . They went in and removed the tumor. Then later on she was recommended to have a mastectomy on her left breast, which she chose to go forward with. She also had to have some lymph nodes removed because some of those were cancerous as well. 

She has since had all the necessary chemotherapy treatments and she is going through radiation rounds soon to ensure that all the cancerous cells are gone. 

Tia is known in the community as a kind soul that helps anyone and everyone when she has the means.  She would give a stranger the shirt off her back if they needed it. She has the biggest heart and she is very driven when it comes to providing for the less fortunate and of course, her family. She has gone through a lot the past couple of months but she remains optimistic and full of life. But in reality she is struggling. She's struggling with her self-image, her health, and the bills are piling. It's been very hard.
