The Youngs battle with cancer

One of our dedicated Kids' Corner Teachers has been by the side of her husband for the past week at EMMC.  We have been blessed as Rose Mary has traveled daily from Corea, Maine down to Bar Harbor for over 16 years to work with our children.  

Perhaps now we can share a blessing with her?  She finds herself in a very scary, emotionally, and financially draining situation.  Her husband, Arthur was recently diagnosed with lung cancer. Doctors removed the cancerous mass last week during what turned out to be a much more intricate, time intensive operation than originally anticipated.  His road to recovery is going to be slow and steady but we all know that having family with us as we heal is sometimes some of the best encouragement/medicine.  Rose Mary has been staying up in Bangor at the Riverside Inn next to EMMC so that she can be there within minutes when the Doctors call in the middle of the night with updates or urgent needs.  They have been on a very emotional roller coaster and it's all hitting them so intensely and quickly.  If you find yourself wanting to 'pay it forward' or do something to brighten someone's otherwise emotionally draining holiday season, please consider supporting this amazing couple.
