Adam Swerdlow’s fight to beat Leukemia

Hi friends and family, 

Many of you know Adam was recently diagnosed with AML (Acute Myeloid Leukemia; a cancer that came on suddenly and aggressively) and has been moved to Dana Farber in Boston so he can receive the best treatment possible.  

Adam is the father of two amazing kiddos.  Harlow is 2-years-old and baby Oscar is barely 4 months.  This is his second time having cancer- last time being kidney cancer which was cured through surgery.  Any help we can send their family in this extremely difficult time to make things easier for medical expenses, insurance premiums, travel and wages lost would be greatly appreciated.  

What we know now is that Adam will be at Dana Farber for the foreseeable future while he receives chemo and eventually a Bone Marrow Transplant.  Due to his current condition, children are not allowed to visit so he has been unable to see Harlow and Oscar.  His current out of pocket medical costs (for what is included on his HMO plan and does not factor in uncovered costs) are significant.  He won’t be able to work for at least the next 12 months and did not qualify for FMLA.  We all know how important it is to have family close by during such a difficult time and don't want the costs of traveling and staying in Boston plus the medical bills to make this impossible. Additionally, Chloe will be looking for support with their children so that she can continue to support Adam in Boston.
