The Journey to Kennedy’s Recovery

The Wilson family lives in the Bellefonte area and Kennedy is currently being treated at Penn State Hershey Children’s Hospital.  A few weeks prior to her diagnosis, this sweet little 3 year old was complaining of headaches. Her parents visited their primary care with no diagnosis.  But on March 31st, 2019 Kennedy's family went the ER and heard the news no parent wants to hear, your child has a brain tumor. The family was then transferred to Penn State Health at Hershey, PA to which she had surgery to remove the tumor.  The pathology tests confirmed the tumor that it is medulloblastoma, a cancerous brain tumor. Her treatment plan is being developed, but it will include chemotherapy.

This money will be used to support the family expenses as they need to take time away from work while they support Kennedy's journey to recovery.   Mom’s has very limited paid time off work and the financial burden will be a hardship for the family.
