The GB U19 American Football team have the opportunity to qualify for the European Championships in Italy in 2019!
The team receives a subsidy from the National Governing Body - BAFA - however, the majority of the cost of the Qualifiers and the Tournament is to be funded by the players.
My name is Calum McClenaghan and I am the Chair of a (Dedicated) Parents-led fundraising group with the goal of ensuring that every player selected to represent their country does not miss out due to their personal financial situation!
We are looking to raise enough money so that we can significantly offset the cost, and open up selection to as many players as we can, for the friendly game against France on the 23rd February and the European Qualifier against Norway on the 30th March. Hopefully we can push on with fundraising once the team qualifies! (As I am sure they will... but I am biased I suppose!)
The team have been training hard and have will be playing a warm up game against France with the aim of putting themselves in the best possible position to qualify. PLEASE HELP THEM!
