Support Sharon's fight against Cancer

Donation protected
UPDATE: 6/13/19
I am writing this as an update to my wife’s recent status. First and foremost I want to THANK YOU ALL for the donations, kind words, emails, texts and support over the past few weeks,  it has been a tremendous comfort to our family.

Since the GoFundMe campaign was set up, my wife has been admitted to the hospital on two separate occasions and required additional treatments for various symptoms. We are continuing to work hard to get my wife’s blood count numbers to the appropriate levels and have since found a great naturopathic clinic here in Georgia to continue Sharon’s treatments including testing her blood in Greece (https://www.rgcc-group.com/) to determine a very specific protocol and create custom vaccination based on her DNA. However, that would not be possible without your donations and support.

Some of you already know that in addition to Sharon fighting this disease, her mother unexpectedly passed away and she had to take a slight break from her regular treatments to work with her siblings on finalizing plans to bury her mother this week. Please keep her family in your prayers.

The road is long and the journey so far has had many ups and downs as some days are physically and mentally better than others but in no way would we have been able to make it this far without all of your support and prayers.

As you can tell we are very close to our GoFundMe goal and I am asking if you can continue sharing the link with your family and friends as every donation made has allowed us to continue with Sharon's treatments.

God bless and Thank you All!

Our world was shattered in February 2019 when Sharon Tomlinson, my wife and mother of our 10 year old son, DJ was diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer of the Gastrointestinal tract. After over 50 hours of chemo, Sharon has decided to undergo aggressive treatments overseas that have huge success rates of curing cancers where chemo is not the first option. Unfortunately, those treatments are not covered by our insurance.  We need your financial help to cover the costs.

An Entrepreneur at heart but most recent decided to take on a full-time position with a marketing agency as their Executive in Charge of production. In February 2019, my wife traveled from Atlanta, GA to San Jose, CA to work on a commercial, while in the field she experienced an unbearable pain in her stomach that only progressed in the matter of moments. Suspected to be food poison she was taken to the hospital immediately. The ER doctors treated her for the food poison and gave her a CT scan. While awaiting her results she never thought in a million years that she would be getting diagnosed with cancer. Being away from her family this news was extremely devastating.

Upon her return home we decided to get a second and third opinion and she underwent a series of blood test, biopsies to determine the origin of the cancer as the CT scan showed cancer cells in various areas of her body. The oncologist at Emory narrowed it down to possible colon cancer. We immediately had a colonoscopy, endoscopy and Pet Scan done to determine a treatment plan. After locating the top cancer treatment center (MD Anderson) we flew to Houston where the final diagnosis was given of Stage 4 Cancer of the Gastrointestinal Tract (undetermined)

My wife is a strong woman, but on March 18, 2019 the news took everything out of her. She collapsed in my arms and simply broke down. The news was the worst thing my family has ever had to face, and I knew at that time I needed to be twice as strong for my wife and my family.  The following week March 25th we went back to Houston to start an aggressive treatment plan of Chemotherapy. The did surgery to implant the Port in her chest to receive the treatment. I watched her go from being vibrant to not being able to mentally accept this on her life. On March 26th she started chemo receiving over 50 hours of infusion. Seeing her in so much pain I only wish I could take that pain for her.

Those who know my wife knows that she is a loyal person who has built her life model on helping others. Sharon has created and push for initiatives to help in the fight against bullying. She created a safe zone for abused children inside and outside of our home to feel secure. Sharon has been a vessel for others and their struggles, and as much as I have been reluctant to ask for help, we can’t do this alone.  Sharon has fought through this first infusion and completely changed her lifestyle to Vegan. We researched alternative aggressive treatments that have huge success rates of curing cancers where chemo is not the first option. Unfortunately, those treatments are not covered by our insurance.

We have been working very hard to pull all of our resources together, to start treatment. We are in need of funds to help with all aspects of this life changing endeavor. The most important thing is assuring that she's putting the right things in her body and able to get the right treatments and machinery in our home to assist over the next 18-24 months.

I appreciate any you are able and willing to donate to help fill this financial gap.

Thank you and God Bless,
