My name is Rhynett Chatman and I need your help.  It's really hard for me to come to each of you and ask for help, but the bible says "you have not because you ask not".  

I am a faithful  member of the Northside Church of Christ, where I am under the leadership of Bro. Charlie E. McClendon, Senior Minister.
As many of you know I love singing and spreading the "Good News" through the gift that God as blessed me with.  I have traveled all over our "Brotherhood" trying to be an encouragement and a blessing to the church. 

The reason for this Go Fund Me Page is I need your help and your support. 

In April of 2017 I became ill, I went to see my primary doctor. After several blood test, the results warranted an immediate referral to  an Oncologist/Hematologist. At that point I began to fear the worst, that my cancer had returned. On May 23, 2017, my worst fears became my reality; I was diagnosed with a blood cancer - Leukemia (AML).  For the past year and a half I have been receiving chemotherapy and blood transfusions and being hospitalized, with no improvement.  I was then referred to UF Health Shands Cancer Hospital in Gainesville, FL , where I have been accepted in the "Bone Marrow Transplant Program".
I will have to spend at least 5 months in Gainesville, FL after I undergo a bone marrow transplant.  I want you all to know that my family, as well as my church family (Northside Church of Christ) appreciates all the prayers and heartfelt good wishes that have already been pouring in from the church community all over our Brotherhood.

At this difficult time however, I am in need of financial assistance as I am already facing mounting cost related to the cancer treatment;  loss wages, travel to and from the clinic, temporary housing (In Gainesville, FL), meals and other living expenses.  I will soon also have the expense of obtaining a full time caregiver while I am in Gainesville, FL.  If you have the ability and a willingness to help, please send monetary donations through Rhynett Chatman's  Go Fund Me Account.  If you are able and willing to help, any amount will be gladly appreciated.  The goal is to raise $50,000 to ensure that all expenses will be covered.
