My name is Megan Kelly, and I'm from a small town near Frederick, Maryland. I have recently been named to the USA National Bobsled team, and I need your help in pursuing my lifelong dream of competing in the Olympics.
I had just graduated from Towson University in May of 2018 when I was recruited for the USA Bobsled team. They saw potential in me after my success competing as a Division I Track and Field athlete and wanted me to try out for the team. I was invited to the Olympic Training Center in Lake Placid, New York where I learned how to bobsled and trained with other bobsled athletes. After spending a short time in Lake Placid, I was selected to be on the USA National Bobsled team -- which has been the most amazing opportunity of my life.
Unfortunately, the USA Bobsled team is not a fully-funded program. Many athletes, like myself, are forced to pay for our own equipment, travel, and housing expenses during competition. With your support, I can compete with Team USA in more races to gather experience in the sport and reach my goal of qualifying for the Olympics!
