Marcell's road to recovery

Marcell was in a motorcycle accident the morning of February 8, 2017. The impact of the accident shattered his L1 disk, causing him to lose feeling from waist down.

After being in the ICU for 3 days, he underwent spine surgery to reconstruct his shattered disk and realign his spine. Unfortunately, Marcell has not regained the ability to move his legs.

Now the real difficult process begins: Marcell will be transferred to an Acute Rehabilitation Center located in Vallejo on Thursday, February 16, 2017. Although we are unsure of what the outcome will be, we are very hopeful that Marcell will regain use of his legs.

As we all know, not all medical bills are paid by insurance. There are deductibles and co-pays in every situation, and there will also be costs for home care and rehabilitation once he is released.
