We would like you to meet our brother Kleon Keang. On Saturday January 21, 2017 our brother was diagnosed with Leukemia. This was not suspected. Kleon went to the doctor for what he and his mother thought was a concussion. After running several tests, the doctors diagnosed Kleon with the reality of bone cancer.
This vibrant, intelligent young man is a senior at Union High School in Camas, WA. He is an avid participant in several school activities and member of the varsity soccer team. As a first generation student, he has worked exceptionally hard to attain the goal of so many: go to college, play soccer while in college, attain a degree in Business, and after, continue his pursuit of the American dream.
Kleon’s path to these ideals has been riddles with challenge and perseverance. The son of Cambodian immigrants, he has led a life of no excuses. Make your future the one you desire rooted in work. Living with his mother, the two have worked to solve the problems that life presents. He is an active contributor to the family coffer to make ends meet so both can lead a decent life. All the while maintaining great academic standing and community service. But this new situation greatly outweighs the monetary resources the two have at the disposal.
This GoFUndMe page is our effort to help raise money to help take the burden off of his single mom. Any amount of money can and will help. As well, it will be used to pay for any and all expenses incurred, and hopefully save a life. Kleon is an upstanding member of this community in Vancouver and Camas, Washington; we are here representing Kleon just the same, as he would do the same for any of us. The one thing we can do for him is to make an effort to alleviate as much stress as possible through this process. This is a struggle for everyone involved, your donation could help end that struggle.
