Jenny Walker's battle with Leukemia

On March 25th, 2019 after a week of unexplained fatigue our mother "Jenny" Jeannette Schill Walker was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. She was immediately transferred to Rochester Methodist Hospital in Rochester, MN where she is currently undergoing Chemotherapy. With successful chemotherapy she will receive a bone marrow transplant by August of this year.
As Jenny moves forward with her transplant we are preparing for a long road. Many of the costs after transplant are not covered by insurance. She will need to stay in transplant housing near the hospital for a minimum of 100 days post transplant at a cost of 80-100$ a day. She will also need 24 hour a day supervision from friends and family members during this time. She will also have to pay for food for herself and her caregivers on top of transport to and from the hospital 1-3 times daily for the entirety of her stay.
With the increasing costs of Jenny's current treatment we are looking for donations for the next phase, transplant! We need deposits for housing and funds for room and board of caregivers whom will be generously donating their time. That is also another way to help, if anyone has the ability to spend a few days with Jenny post transplant we are still looking to fill some days on her caregiver calendar. Jenny is devoted mother of 3, grandmother of 5 with another granddaughter on the way in September. A caring and loving woman whom never hesitates to lend a hand to anyone in need. Despite her situation she has held her head high and is determined to fight this affliction with all she has! In her own words "I have cancer, cancer doesn't have me!"
