Irwin's Recovery Plan

Our dear friend, Irwin Friedman, a committed educator and treasured member of our community, has been unable to work for over 5 years because of illness. As a result of a fall off of a ladder 8 years ago, Irwin now suffers from a dizziness that makes it hard for him to do anything. His hearing and vision have also been greatly impacted. He has sought help from both alternative and traditional healing practitioners. However, western medicine has been unable to recommend a path back to good health for him.

Irwin really misses everyone. He wants to be with our children again. He wants to guide us through the natural world, kayaking on our amazing north Florida rivers. We want to see his gentle smile. We want to hear him sing the new as well as the older songs he’s written that honor our beautiful world and our loving friendships. We’ve each known Irwin in different places and different ways in our lives. For all of us, we knew that no matter what, Irwin could always see the good in us.

With guidance and support from his friend, Henry Hall (well respected Tallahassee nutritionist), Irwin has found a combination of promising therapies including cold laser, neurological, and cranio-sacral therapies. Our job now, as Irwin’s devoted friends, is to help raise the funds so that he can make this major push to regain his stability and strength. Unfortunately, Medicare, Medicaid, or other insurances will not cover the cost of these treatments.
