Hello Family, Friends, Friends of Family, and Friends of Friends,
We are Higher Art Galleries, an online art gallery that schowcases and sells student artwork in the form of originals, as well as reproductions. Higher Art Galleries supports college/university-based art programs and their aspiring student artists by sharing a portion of its' profit between the two groups.
The Company, incorporated in Spring 2017, was co-founded by Brooke Einbender, Zanny Dow and Hana Polizzotto at Wake Forest University in the winter of 2016. Brooke and Zanny are recent May 2017 graduates and have relocated to New York City, along with Hana, to continue to develop the business platform and expand its reach to include every college Art program in the US.
While at Wake Forest, we participated in two competitive startup accelerator programs: Deacon Spring Board and Wake Startup Lab. In addition, we received the 2017 Lelia and David Farr award for Ideas with Impact in Entrepreneurship.
We are grateful for everything Wake Forest University has done to help us launch Higher Art Galleries including: our entrepreneurial education, funding, and mentorship. Now is the time to take Higher Art to the next level. At the moment, we have recruited Wake Forest's most talented student artists. In the next few months, we are looking to introduce our platform to several New York City universities.
This is where you come in! In order to reach our goals, we need to raise the money to connect with and onboard more student artists. We need to hire a website developer to create a backend to our platform so that our artists can track their sales and update their profile pages. Lastly, we need to build Higher Art Galleries brand.
Every donation, no matter how big or small, will allow us to help art departments and their talented student artists around the country. If you are unable to donate, please give us a share!
Let’s change the notion of having to be a “starving artist.” We are asking you to help us keep the Arts alive!
