It's every parents’ nightmare - finding out your child is sick. Tracy and Aseem started noticing excessive bruising and spots on Ethan’s legs over the course of 7-10 days and took their wonderfully sweet and busy little boy for a blood test. The very next morning they received a call from their family doctor advising they needed to get Ethan urgently to McMaster Kids Hospital. A few hours later the devastating news was delivered - Ethan, their five year old son, was diagnosed with a childhood cancer called leukaemia.
Ethan has embarked on a journey to get better with his mom and dad glued to his side. He will have intensive in and outpatient chemo therapy over the next 6 months to aggressively treat his body and then 2.5-3 years of maintenance treatment.

This Go Fund Me account has been set up to help them through the process. They're back and forth between home and McMaster - that means; gas, parking, meals, etc. And since they're entirely focused on Ethan's recovery, this is also a space that allows us to help take off the financial pressures of day to day expenses and bills that are adding up.
