On May 23 Prajwal Karna was shot twice in his abdomen area during robbery in southeast Houston Gas station. He was transported to a hospital where he underwent with multiple surgeries.
His condition was critical, but by the grace of the almighty god he survived after multiple surgeries. 80% of his liver has been removed during the surgery and some other organs has also been effected which requires time to heel.
After almost 2 month of Intensive care, he was discharged from the Hospital yesterday and has no place to live . Although some of his friends came forward to help but he still needs 24/7 medical attention in rehabilitation center for couple of month until he recovers from all the wounds.
Prajwal is from Biratnagar and moved to the United States 4 years back as a student. He lost his Mom & Dad when he was small kid and his Aunt (Fufu) has been taking care since then.
It is hard enough for a family to go through the emotional pain and heartache of seeing their loved one in such a condition, without having to worry and wade through the financial turmoil. This gofundme account has been set up by Prajwal’s well wishers, in the hopes of alleviating the financial toil this tragic accident has taken.
The funds raised will go directly to his medical bills and his stay in rehab facility. A portion of it will also be used to recover his car as it was repossessed as well as attorney fee to file the Victim of a Crime VISA (U-Visa).
