Parker Glick Needs Us!

Parker Glick, a local and national advocate as well as a supporter of independent living for people with disabilities was hit by a car on Friday July 13th, 2018 in Decatur, Georgia. Parker was headed home on his usual sidewalk route when he was stuck by a car driven by an uninsured and unlicensed driver. Parker was launched out of his wheelchair, sustained multiple fractures, and is currently recovering at Grady Hospital

Parker must now begin the transition from the hospital to his home without the promise of a steady income. But as with everything in his life, Parker is facing this challenge with determination and his never wavering sense of humor.

Let’s rally around Parker, so that he can heal at his home (rather than a nursing home - the suggestion of doctors and nurses), while having what it takes to recover and not worry about financial obligations.

We are asking for contributions to cover the cost of Parker’s rent, household bills, payment for ongoing personal care attendant, and nursing support since he will be out of work for the foreseen future.

Parker has given to so many in his life. Now it’s time that we return the favor.
