Morgan & Meredith will be needing all the support and love as they continue their journey throughout life without Lisa. Lisa was a selfless person and had the heart of gold to help anyone who ever needed it. This is our time to help her family out with funeral expenses, and anything upcoming for Morgan and Meredith. This is the most difficult thought I have ever had to put together into words. March 8th, 2018 was the both the most joyful, and the most devastating day of my entire life. At 6:15 am, Lisa and I welcomed our beautiful daughter, Meredith Lisa Grace MacLean into the world. She had a few difficulties when she was first born, but is now doing well, being cared for in the NICU at the QEH. Every time I look in her eyes, and she stares back up at me, I feel like as proud as I ever have in my life. The other person I am just as proud of is my selfless wife Lisa. She cared for this child in her belly for 9 months, and put their well-being ahead of absolutely everything. She is the most nurturing, strong person I have ever met. Because of these reasons, it is especially hard for me to say that Lisa had complications during her c-section, and on her 33rd birthday, and the day Meredith was born, Lisa passed away in the hospital. Although she will not be able to be here with us as Meredith grows, she was able to hold her and kiss her when she was born. Lisa will forever be Meredith’s mother, and I know she will be watching over us from above guiding us through life. I also know she will live on through Meredith, and thus never be forgotten in this world. I am forever indebted to her and will cherish her for the rest of my days. Rest easy my bug, and always remember you are the greatest wife and mother to ever walk this planet. Love always and forever, Lisa E MacLean
