Support for Melodie Murphy

Donation protected
Melodie Murphy is my younger sister, and on Thursday Feb 28th she was admitted to the Hospital for a typical routine health issue.   As the day progressed it became clear that she had developed Sepsis, which is a bacterial infection of the blood.  By Friday morning she was in complete Septic Shock, by Saturday morning we were told the worst, and that family should come as soon as possible.
Her closest friends, and family rushed to her side from all over the country. She had now been on Full Life Support for almost two days.  Occasionally there were small signs of consciousness, and we all told her how much we Loved her, and that she was very sick, and that she had to Fight!
And Fight she Did!  She beat the odds, we were told only 3 out of 10 survive Septic Shock... By Sunday morning, her Blood Pressure, which had been artificially maintained for 2 days with drugs, miraculously started to come back!  This was a small win, as her organs were still shutting down, but we took it, and as the day progressed, hour by hour we got more good news... by evening they removed the breathing tube, and she spoke for the first time in 3 days asking for her Mom and her Children... which I witnessed, and it brought me to tears as I heard my sisters voice again. As the days progressed she endured agonizing pain from the tissue damage, but her organs started to come back online, however the illness took a toll on her body.

Part Two of Melodies story is just beginning, she has severe tissue damage to her extremities, she is still in severe pain, and has many months of Medical therapy, Surgeries, and Physical Therapy before returning to work and her daily routines.
UPDATE: After several months of grueling therapy, sadly doctors were unable to reverse the damage to Melodies extremities. In May surgeons were forced to amputate both feet, and all of her fingers on both hands. Skin grafts were then applied to her palms. Since then she has had one more surgery to her hands, and one more is scheduled in October which will aid in fitting prosthetics. She is now walking on her new prosthetic feet, and working hard to regain some normality in her life. Her goal is to return to her position as a 5th grade school teacher in Jan 2020.

I'm starting this GoFundMe page, and asking for your help, because the last thing someone should have to worry about when they're sick is finances!  She still has to pay the bills and support her kids, and disability ins. only covers 2/3's of your pay.  Plus she will certainly have annual minimums, and huge copay's due on her astronomical Medical Bills.  She's been in the Intensive Care Unit 12 days to date...

She's also still supporting her two children Brenden, and Briana, and she is Graduating High School in June.

A donation of any size will be greatly appreciated, thank you in advance for your contribution.  100% of the funds collected will go directly to Melodie.
Bob Douglas, and Melodie's Family.

A Bio Video I produced for Melodie's 50th... of course she insists its her 29th!  LOL!
