Support for Carly Donowick

Carly was hospitalized at the beginning of June after almost a year of ongoing illness. She is currently suffering from an extreme auto-immune response creating exaggerated inflammation throughout her body.  After months of testing, initial diagnosis point toward seronegative arthritis or spondyloarthritis that caused debilitating pain in her joints, immobility, extreme weight loss, and a blood clot in her leg. 

Carly is on a long road to recovery, and she needs our help! We hope that this support can help cover her extensive medical bills and relieve the financial burden she has undergone during this time that she has been unable to work or skate. This money will also help future costs associated with receiving proper treatment and any necessary travel costs to receive specialized medical attention. 

Carly is out of the hospital, and the current pain medication and steroid shots have improved her mobility by reducing inflammation. However, the length of time for recovery and outcome is still unknown, and the steroid shots are providing a temporary band-aid.
