Support for Allison Blevins ❤️

$8,857 of $10,000 goal

Allison is 10 years old and is in Pediatric ICU after a sinus infection that led to a brain abscess. She had a seizure, lost movement on the right side of her body and became disoriented before the doctors could diagnose her. She ended up requiring surgery on December 13th to clear the infection and part of her skull has been removed until it can safely be put back once the infection is clear. She is being fed by a tube and is heavily sedated. Everything is very touch and go right now.

Allison’s father Adam Blevins and family could really use our help as the hotel, fuel and food cost to stay with Allison are adding up quickly. She will have a long road to recovery requiring a lengthy hospital stay and rehab.

No amount is too small and please continue to keep her and her family in your prayers. Thank you!

Thank you everyone for your prayers, support and donations! Allison is making a remarkable recovery. She has been released home and is continuing IV antibiotics and therapy at home. She will continue IV antibiotics through February. Her appetite is good, she has regained 90% of her function to her right arm and leg and she continues to improve everyday. She will still need another surgery to put back the piece of skull that was removed. There are still a lot of precautions for her to take but overall she is doing great and we couldn’t be happier about the amount of progress she has made!!

Allison is still in the hospital. The doctors did confirm she had two strokes, one at the beginning of her infection and one during her surgery. She continues to have swelling to her brain which causes her pain and makes it difficult to eat. She is able to eat a little bit but the tube feeding is still her main source of nutrition. Before they can futher discuss on where she will be transferring to for inpatient therapy she will have a another CT scan next week to reassess the swelling. She is now able to move her right arm, the right leg has been slower to catch up but she is regaining some movement. Her speech has significantly improved but she still has trouble finding her words. She makes improvements every single day and for that we are so thankful!! Keep the prayers coming, they are working!

Allison had a scary seizure on Monday night. But improved yesterday and had a wonderful day. She was able to ride around in a wheelchair and go to get ice cream. This morning she was able to walk with a walker for about 20 feet. She’s saying more and more each day and for that we are thankful. We still aren’t sure where she will go for therapy but they have told him she will have to be transferred via ambulance. Continue to pray and share this link for our sweet Allison. ❤️
