Support for Aden
Donation protected
Our nephew Aden is currently at Children’s Hospital ICU, in critical condition. Aden is now 13 yrs old, he was diagnosed with Hypotonia (low muscle tone) at 18 months. Hypotonia is a medical condition in which it causes weak arm and leg movements, and poor control in muscle movements. With Hypotonia, Aden had a delay in his motor skills and a delay in other developmental milestones. Aden was later diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy and Epilepsy. As his condition progress, Aden was diagnosed with Neuromuscular Scoliosis due to his neurological problems, and then needed surgery to correct his scoliosis.
On 4/5/2019 Aden underwent surgery at Children’s Hospital in Milwaukee. While recovering from his surgery, Aden became septic due to aspiration pneumonia, and went into acute respiratory failure. Aden is now relying on the ECMO (Extracorporeal membrane oxygenation, AKA: Extracorporeal life support) to help him breath and circulate blood. Aden’s prognosis is unpredictable at this time, and it is taking a very heavy toll on our sister and her family. Our sister Yeng and her husband Steve had to leave their three younger children with family in their hometown (Green Bay), and put their jobs on hold to stay with Aden in Milwaukee.
Your donation can help lift the financial burden on this family. There is a long list of expenses that needs to be taken care of during this period of time. Donations will go towards their rent/utility, gas/driving expenses, food, and any medical expenses not covered by insurance. We are asking for your generosity and support to allow Yeng and Steve to be able to be at Aden’s side and help him fight to get better, and hopefully return home. We are very grateful and thankful for the love and support from all the family and friends over the past few weeks.
Go Aden! Get well soon, so you can return home!
