Support Family Affected by Drive-by Shooting

On Thursday, May 30, 2019, around 8:30 PM, my friend Dawn and three of her children were at home resting after a busy day. As Dawn sat on the couch in her living room, gunfire started tearing through the walls of the house.
Thinking it was fireworks or overheated electronics, Dawn was surprised when her oldest son ran down the hall yelling about the house being shot. Once she realized what was happening, she yelled for her kids to get down to the ground and to the back of the house. She called 911 as her son called his dad.
She said the response time was very fast and she soon had a dozen Harnett County Deputies in and around her home. Eyewitnesses provided descriptions of the shooters and the vehicle. At this time, it's believed that the shooters targeted the wrong house or perhaps a former tenant.
A bullet entered the house inches from where Dawn was sitting and buzzed past her, narrowly missing her. A bullet tore throw the master bedroom, just above the bed, then went through the TV, the wall, into the kitchen, and into the toaster. Other bullets entered the home through the window and the closet. At least 8 shots were fired into the home of a hardworking, single mom and her children.
It's hard to even fathom.
So, this is what I'm asking. We want to help Dawn find a new place to live. One that isn't torn apart by gunfire. A place that doesn't constantly remind her of how close they were to a different outcome. We want to help raise the money needed for first month's rent, security deposit, and moving expenses. We want to help replace the items destroyed. We want to show her that she has friends and family and a community that will walk with her through what has happened and the hard stuff coming.
