Support Education in Township

Donation protected
Help poverty-stricken children who don't have the opportunity to receive an education due to the prevailing legacy of Apartheid. Every child deserves the opportunity to be educated.

Hope Link is a small organisation that provides an educational program for children whose family does not have the funds to pay for school. The charity currently has 51 kids between the ages 3-7 who attend in the morning and 50 kids between 10-14 who come in the afternoon. Unfortunately, as a small organisation, they rely solely on funds making it difficult to expand or provide all the materials needed for every child. The conditions of the space are currently quite poor and unequipped.

In April I will be travelling to South Africa and as a part of my journey I will be volunteering in a township in the outskirts of Cape Town called Philippi, where the organisation operates. Because they are often short on staff, I have agreed to take some time to give back. I will be working directly with the charity through a friend who currently works there. Throughout my time there I will be helping children with reading, writing and hands-on tasks. I will be travelling to South Africa in mid April, so with your help, we could raise £2,000 by then!

All the funds will go to the organsation for the improvement of the learning space and for more/better supplies for the children With your generosity, we could make a true difference in the lives of these children.

They currently do not have a website, so if you have any further questions, feel free to contact me!
