Support Donnie's Fight

Donation protected

Don Weyant, 42, a warm and loving young man, a husband, a son-in-law, a brother, a neighbor, and a good friend, has been slammed by a totally unexpected diagnosis of Immunoblastic B-Cell High Grade Lymphoma/Leukemia with acute renal failure (dialysis dependent), and Cardiomyopathy (disease of the heart).  He went to the Dr. for a constant headache, and a week later he was diagnosed with the lymphoma which was concentrated in his kidneys.  After a bone marrow  biopsy came the leukemia diagnosis.  He started dialysis five weeks ago and goes three days a week.   He belongs to Kaiser and has asked for a referral to City of Hope.  Kaiser denied it.  To get into City of Hope for just a consultation will cost them $1,500.  With no insurance, expenses will be astronomical.  His cancer is rare and very aggressive, and he should have started treatments last week, but his hope is still to get into City of Hope.  However, at this writing, if he can’t get in this week, he will start chemotherapy at Kaiser next week, April 17.

He and his wife, Monica, need all the help they can get financially to help with this unexpected expense.  It will be a long haul, but he is strong and determined to fight.  Please consider donating to help them get through this financially; they will be most grateful.  Please keep them both in your thoughts and prayers every day.  They can feel the positive energy coming their way, and they thank you from the bottom of their hearts.
