Caravan Rescue Initiative

Tax deductible

The U.S. government has not only turned its back on the caravan of Central American refugees, but has sent a wall of guns to meet them. This response poses a serious threat of violence against the vulnerable women, men and children of the caravan. Caravan Rescue Coalition was formed to offer a safe alternative to the caravan.  We propose to petition the Canadian government to accept all the refugees in the caravan before they reach the U.S. boarder.   We have sent Anglican Archbishop Leonardo Marin Saavedra to Mexico to start negotiating the logistics with caravan and local leaders.  Your donation will help with the logistics of getting all the key people in Mexico and in Canada to the table.

The Central American caravan is an exodus of children, families, men and women from Honduras, Guatemala and El Salvador.  They fled their homelands where they were suffering the consequences of the horrific violence that the war against drugs and the inhumane governments have created.  Please help with anything you can to support this effort to offer sanctuary to these displaced people.

Timeline:

November 15th
Archbishop Saavedra meets with caravan and local, Mexican leaders to discuss the proposal and how to organize the discussion within the caravan and with the Mexican government and other aid organizations

November 21st
Full, detailed proposal is formally submitted to the Canadian government.

The Caravan Rescue Coalition is made up of immigration activists, members of charity organizations, journalists, Mexican and local leaders, and other people who are concerned for the safety of the caravan.

The Monsignor Romero Foundation is our fiscal sponsor.  They will manage the funds and make sure they are used appropriately.  We are an all-volunteer organization.  All of your funds will go directly to the project.

Thank you for your generosity and support.
