Support Bezdek Family and Eli's Recovery
Donate to help the Bezdek family with Eli's medical expenses. Eli has been in the hospital for a few days now fighting an Inflammatory Bowel Disease and they plan to keep him for almost another week. Please help this loving family and this sweet boy! Full story below:
On Friday, July 5th, Elias Bezdek was admitted to the Phoenix Children's Hospital because he had been losing too much blood in his stool. He was pale, his lips were blue, he wasn't able to eat or drink, and he had no energy. He was tested to see if he had a virus, but no virus was found. They performed a blood transfusion on Saturday because Eli had lost too much blood. After the weekend at the hospital the doctors performed a colonoscopy, where they found that his intestine was very inflamed. They now believe Eli has Ulcerative Colitis, which is a type of Inflammatory Bowel Disease. The hospital has to keep running tests and they have to treat the inflammation as soon as those tests are done, so Eli and his family have to stay at the hospital for another week. The doctors plan to treat the inflammation with steroids and other medicines, but they have to test to make sure he doesn't have any other virus's that could be activated by the steroids. Right now Eli is still unable to eat because of how inflamed his bowels are and his family is waiting for test results.
I am setting up this fund to help Eli's mother and father to pay for these medical expenses. These donations will go to help pay for 8+ days in the hospital, the IV's that Eli has gotten everyday, the blood transfusion, all of the medical tests and procedures, and future visits to the hospital that are required to make sure he's healthy.
Eli is such a sweet boy. He always thinks of others, even mentioning to me that I should donate games to the hospital. He makes sure others feel appreciated and always wants the best for everyone. He loves his friends and family and constantly supports them. He's so relaxed and happy to do anything. He loves Pokemon, Harry Potter, and Mario games! He is only 11 years old and does not deserve to feel this way and not know what is going on. Every donation goes to helping this loving boy get better.
