Support and Stand with Joe Pach

Donation protected
If you’ve been to a craft show in New Brunswick in the past 10 years, chances are, you’ve met Joachim Pach, better known as Joe. He’s pretty unforgettable – friendly and always ready to show kindness to friends and strangers alike.

Now, it’s our turn.

Joe’s usually active, an avid runner and lover of the outdoors, with boundless energy and enthusiasm. But he has felt strangely unwell since the fall. After some tests this month, he and his wife and business partner, Gudi, have just discovered that Joe has cancer. Not only is it in his lungs, but it has also spread to his spine and one leg. This has come as a horrible shock to Joe and Gudi, and to those of us who love them.

As an artist with a small business, Joe’s always working, crafting jewelry with Gudi for their business, TerraBijou, on the outskirts of Sussex. Joe doesn’t get sick days or health benefits, and when Joe’s not creating, he’s not generating income. Gudi is doing her best to come to grips with this terrible diagnosis, care for Joe, and somehow keep things going to try to manage the bills.

We don’t yet know what kind of treatment Joe will need over the coming months, but we do know there will be countless trips into the city, special accommodations for Joe, who can’t climb stairs due to the cancer in his leg, and a huge loss of income for them both.

By raising funds for Joe, we hope to ease some of the stress and financial pressure he and Gudi are facing together, along with this challenging illness.

Thanks for taking the time to read Joe’s story. He’s a kind, compassionate, funny and supportive friend, and any support for Joe and Gudi would be truly appreciated.

As per the wishes of Go Fund Me, I have been asked to add a little more info about myself to help ensure credibility of this campaign.
My name is Jamie Brown. My wife Alyson and I love Joe and Gudi very much. We met them through our passion of creating. We have worked many craft shows together and have had a chance to really get to know one another. Alyson and I new right away that many people would want to help so we created this campaign with the help of others such as  Beth Powning and  Jane Simpson who helped write the story above.
The funds you have donated will be released to a bank account with The Bank of Nova Scotia, and it is in Gudi's name so she can manage them.
Thank you
