Hello all!
This July to December, I will be journeying to Haiti as a Frontier Projects Haiti consultant, to work with Light for Living International Ministries (LIFLIM) at their missions-base in Carrefour, Port au Prince – unfortunately, one of the most poverty-stricken areas in all of the Haitian nation.
As a consultant, I will be tasked with the mission of:
"Rescuing children. Restoring Families: Changing the lives of Haitian children and families, through education, through training, through sponsorship."
I will be leading English as a Second Language (ESL) classes to help fund a remote mountain school in Bouvier; a school set up by parents and teachers so that their children do not have to trek vast distances to attend school – a trek that constantly would put them at risk of abduction and trafficking.
I will be working with other trainers at the newly-established ‘Libellule Training Academy’ in Carrefour, where we also provide a way for destitute mothers who do not want to abandon or relinquish their children to an orphanage, to recover their dignity and hope through vocational training and business-development opportunities.
Frontier Projects Haiti and LIFLIM also have developed an amazing program to sponsor children back into their families, by supporting Haitian parents to keep their families together and to undertake this training - building them into community and assisting them until they are able to provide for themselves and their children.

Your financial support in aiding this mission would mean everything, not only to me, but to the beautiful people who are trying so hard to save themselves from a cycle that was not designed to help them. In just two weeks last year, my life was changed, I was made whole and I fell in love with the nation of Haiti and its people. I am beyond excited for this upcoming opportunity as it gives me the chance to serve an underprivileged yet resilient community of people who deserve the opportunity to prevail. These mothers, these children and these families deserve hope; a hope that many of us have been so blessed to know.
My goal is to raise $7000 which will be used for various components of the training center, including, but not limited to, basic needs such as electricity and filtered air, language and classroom supplies, sponsorship donations and supplies for the children in the orphanage and at Bouvier mountain school. $7000 will allow me to function as a liaison in the community and will help me to increase my abilities as an effective consultant and teacher. As this is a new position, it will take time, effort, financial backing, love and prayers to make this dream of providing hope into a reality.
