Supplies for Flint, MI

Hey, everyone!
My name is Jane Oranika. I'm a young creator and artist who has recently gained a small but progressive platform. I want to use it for as much good as I possibly can, and one thing that I want to do with it is help the citizens of Flint, MI .
Since April of 2014, the residents of Flint have been without clean water. The city is comprised of 56.6% African American people and 41.2% of the residents are below the poverty line. Due to swithing water sources, over 100,000 people have been exposed to water with high levels of lead. What's worse is that they are not expected to have water that's safe for consumption until (at earliest) 2019. For going on 3 years, they have been relying on packaged water for everyday activities such as drinking, bathing, and cooking.
Having clean water is something most of us take for granted, and the thought of people going years without that is literally unfathomable to me. By starting this campaign, I'd like to raise at least $2000 to purchase cases of water and gallons to donate to the city of Flint. I see a lot of tweets and social media posts about the fact that they are still going through it, but it recently occured to me that me retweet doesn't do anything to help the actual problem. I'd love it if anyone and everyone who can would donate to this fund to help out. 100% of the proceeds are going straight to purchasing water and supplies for those residents, I won't even be touching any of it. I plan on going to Michigan myself in the upcoming months (hopefully I can get some friends to join me) to purchase these supplies and personally deliver them on behalf of everyone who cared enough to donate to avoid any third party misusing the donations.
