Help For Superior Pups

Most people who know me know how much I do for Superior pups who have been abandoned or injured. Last night I received a phone call from a good friend in Superior about five 4 week old puppies. Their mom had been hit by a car the day before and was severely injured. My friend helped me get the puppies but I could not just leave momma behind.  The poor dog was in so much pain and she deserved some sort of justice.  My friends rushed her and her pups to 1st Pet Veterinary where I met them.  If momma could be helped I would do anything. Unfortunately they discovered that momma was paralyzed (her back had been broken) and the only humane option would be to euthanize her. It was beyond heartbreaking but I stayed with her during the process so she knew someone cared about her. I know she is "just a dog" to some people but she was obviously more than that to me, and I promised her I would take care of her puppies. Last night's bill totaled $903 and there will be more costs to come for the pups to ensure they survive (vet visits, formula, puppy food, vaccinations, spay/neuter surgeries, etc.). I don't typically ask for donations but for this one time, any help would be beyond appreciated. These pups deserve a good life in their momma's memory.
