Superior Middle School book drive for Africa

Blue 7 students have been reading The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind to learn about energy, the scientific method, and the impact young people can have on the world.  From this story, we were inspired to gather unused textbooks in storage at Superior Middle School and send them to a school in Africa.  In the book The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind, William Kamkwamba describes the school he attended as a child in Malawi emphasizing how expensive it was to attend and the lack of resources they had.  We are using the company Books for Africa to ship hundreds of textbooks to a school in need. We have boxed up the books to be shipped, but we need to raise funds to pay for the shipping costs.  Please consider partnering with Superior Middle School students to help children in other parts of the world have access to the resources needed for a quality education.
