We are pleased to present Miriam Sunshine Barr. She is reaching out to the community, friends, and family for help.

Sunshine lost her mother tragically at the age of 12. She was raised by family and friends who instilled in her the principle that when people are in need, Step Up and Help Out. She has always tried to live her life according to that principle.

Sunshine’s profession was as a chemist, but she had to retire early after being diagnosed with Lupus.

Nevertheless, she’s felt blessed throughout her life and she’s always tried to help others be blessed as well.

Sunshine’s home was called the Sunshine House because she always took people in who needed a place to stay.

After Sunshine’s early retirement, she became a driver and companion for people in need. For example, she drives seniors to doctor's appointments; takes them food shopping; and drives visitors to prisons. Recently, she’s been driving a young man with autism to his day habilitation program located 40 miles from his home. Without Sunshine’s help, he would have no way to travel there.

Sunshine was the caretaker for her sister Glennetta until three years ago when she had to place her
in a nursing home because of rapid rapid progression of Multiple Sclerosis. Glennetta passed away several months ago without life insurance so Sunshine used her savings to pay for medical expenses and the funereal. Sunshine has always been financially responsible and financially blessed, but due to these unforeseen extenuating circumstances she is about to lose the vehicle that she depends on for her acts of kindness.

Her vehicle lease is up in August, and she needs to purchase it because it is over the mileage allowed in the lease. However, her loan was denied because her credit rating suddenly went from excellent to poor.

This is how it happened: over the years Sunshine co-signed a lease and a loan for two people. One needed a place to live and the other needed a car to be able to get back and forth to work.

One of these people was evicted and the other was late in making the car payments. When she tried to get a loan to buy the vehicle, the dealer, the bank, and the credit union all refused her credit.

Sunshine’s vehicle is a 2015 Chrysler Town & Country minivan, with an outstanding balance of $21,192.

Sunshine does not want a handout. She’s made her lease payments on time for the past 3 years. She tried many different places to get a loan.

At this point she cannot do this without your help.

She will appreciate and be grateful for any donation towards this goal.

Love, peace, and Continued Blessings to All
