I want to share my sister’s life that is diagnosed with cancer with you guys. My name is Sadaf and I’m the sister of Sanaz. Back in 2014 my sister was diagnosed with stage 1A endometrial cancer. About 3 years later she had a CT scan and found out the cancer has come back, and spread to her liver and spleen. 2017 started out great and she had 5 months of nearly normal life. May 15, 2017 on HER BIRTHDAY she had stage 4 metastasis into her liver and spleen. She started doing her chemotherapy right after, one after another. Her hair started falling out but she was still 100% positive and strong to beat the cancer. Since mid-2017 she has had completed 12 chemotherapies (Carboplatin and Taxol with addition of Avastin). Her doctors have recommended stopping the chemotherapies since the results are no longer satisfying. Doctors advised more chemotherapy would just kill the good cells instead of the cancer cells. Now we have decided to continue her fight against cancer with alternative method with Dr. Benny Nieves. His website is:

Her treatments need to start immediately but insurance does not cover any of the costs. Currently she is 31 years old and she looks forward to beating this cancer with this alternative method. This fund will help us to start her new treatments in her journey of fighting against cancer. I know she will beat this cancer because she is so young and strong but without the funds the treatments would be impossible. This was a really difficult decision for her to set up the campaign because so far she was able to pay out of pocket and insurance covered the rest. However, the alternative method is not covered by insurance at all. But I am sure our caring community will show her the support she deserves.
I can’t tell about how devastating and heartbreaking it was for all of my family to see my sister go through this situation. How I’d go to sleep every night and just pray and cry for her, how to face our greatest fears over and over again. The only person that didn’t have any fear facing the situation was herself. This past year will always be remembered as a time of the greatest struggles for us. But there is no denying it has led to a tremendous amount of strength. I am not sharing these things for sympathy or pity. The truth is we are all humans. We will face struggles so great we don’t think we can overcome them.
I always thought I was a strong person being in tough times, but I actually didn’t know until I saw my sister going through all this ups and downs if her life fighting cancer. She is the strongest and the prettiest girl that I’ve seen in my entire life.
So family and friends, let’s all join her, side by side, to FIGHT against cancer.
