Sunnyhill Kennels crushed by trees

Donation protected
At the devastating peak of a furious windstorm Tuesday, May 25 , powerful gusts tore at the roots of four large poplar trees, sending them crashing into the building that houses Sunnyhill Kennels and Cattery in Anacortes.
There were no injuries and all dogs that were in for boarding are safe and unharmed. Due to the severe wind and fallen tree damage, Sunnyhill Kennels will be closed indefinitely.

My uncle, Chris Terrell, who was on the porch of his home adjacent to the kennel at the time of the crash, is grateful, not only for the initial support in the crisis, but for the growing “family” that has responded in countless ways of support to news of his situation.

Friends and supporters learned that insurance coverage will fall woefully short of meeting the demands of the situation, including the abrupt loss of business that provides wages and benefits not only for Chris and Marguerite, but for Vicki Armstrong, who has been with Sunnyhill for almost 30 years.

Please help Chris & Marguerite Terrell and Vicki Armstrong rebuild and reopen as soon as possible.
