UPDATE: My mortgage is almost caught up. I can't thank you all enough. I'm only 1 month behind now. Any donations received after this will continue to go toward catching up on my mortgage. Any donations after that will go toward helping to pay for my son's medication. We're looking at another couple of months paying for it out of pocket. Best wishes to all of you. I'm really scared right now. I'm on the verge of losing my house. There were some unavoidable expenses that came up this year that wiped out my bank account. My mortgage is 2 months past due, and if I don't pay it before February 24, the bank will start foreclosure proceedings. I'm so close to paying it, but I need another month or two to catch up. I just need to get one month caught up on my mortgage and I can breathe a little. I've been on the verge of a panic attack for the past week. I need your help. I'm desperate enough to put all this personal information out here.
I started this GoFundMe to at first stock up Suncatcher Craft Eyes for the holiday season. The details are explained in my videos here on GoFundMe. While that was going on, I was also dealing with some family issues that wiped out my bank account.
My best friend moved back home because she was in a bad situation. She and her kids stayed with me for half a year until she was back on her feet. Plus I've been paying for my son's medication out of pocket for the last 7-8 months or so. It is about $600 a month, but hopefully it will be covered soon (and then I'll definitely be able to catch up on my bills!). Both of these things were not something I could say no to. My son's medication helps him so much, and I can't see him go without it. And I couldn't let my friend stay in the situation she was in.
At this point I don't know what to do. I've been in contact with the bank, and there's nothing they can do. I've maxed out my credit cards trying to get caught up. I have no family that can help. Most of my older family members passed away, and the ones living are living paycheck to paycheck themselves. Both of my sons are disabled. My business (Suncatcher Craft Eyes and Ebay/Etsy) is still doing well, but not good enough to get out of this hole. But this is a temporary situation. Once I get my mortgage caught up, it'll be fine.
I won't say Suncatcher Craft Eyes will close if this Go Fund Me campaign isn't successful, but it will be a real struggle. My business has stuck it out, supporting my family for the past 10 years. Once I am over this hurdle, I know that the future is bright for Suncatcher Craft Eyes, and hopefully I can provide my craft eyes to you for a very long time to come.
Everyone has struggles, I know that. If I wasn't desperate, I wouldn't put this out there for the world to see. But I am desperate. I want to keep my house and land. I want to keep raising chickens and growing a garden to provide food for my friends and family.
